ODA Service Awards!

Every week the student council recognizes a few students with the ODA service award. To receive this award, someone from our Durham Academy community must submit your name and the honorable or good act they did. This could be something as small as picking up trash after everyone left a room to something much larger like being late to class to help a friend who twisted their ankle. The student council rewards these kind actions by giving winners a certificate for a free snack at the student council store and a keychain from Durham Academy’s own 3D printer. This weeks recipients are:

Rachel U. – Grade 8 – Rachel volunteered to put the chairs up in the classroom, without being asked, for a friend who was unable to do it.

Charlotte N. – Grade 5 – Charlotte offered to help in the garden during her lunch break.

Kevin H. – Grade 5 – Kevin helped a teacher unload her car without being asked.

William C. – Grade 6 – William turned in money he found on the ground.

Thanks to all of this weeks recipients for their acts of kindness and honor! Make sure to read next week to see who our next ODA winners will be!
